After arriving back in Cusco I was pretty much immediately thrown back into the café.
Ali has gone to Ayacucho to her daughter’s graduation and will be back on Monday.
It’s been raining again today, hopefully not finding any more holes in our roof like yesterday.
The large storm gullies that run the length of some of the streets here were carrying water yesterday which showed how hard it was raining. But It’s still not raining enough in Peru generally, a state of emergency for drought was declared yesterday in Tumbes.
Trade in the café is not brisk but we do have some hardy soul’s dodging showers with us.
There’s a guy in the cafe at the moment from Truro who has just arrived from Central America, he literally doesn’t know what day of the week it is.
Esther’s friend Adriana and her daughter Angela arrived yesterday afternoon and Adriana has got altitude sickness pretty bad, hopefully it will pass with rest during today.
