Salvador eating Peruvian Giant Corn at the Trout farm

With the rain cascading down Cabracancha I am writing this after watching the first episode of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and whilst Esther is enjoying the final of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Thanks to Mum and Dad sending us the DVD’s we can briefly visit England (not that it’s really that bad but a dose of blighty can be an ideal pick me up).
The adverts are still the best for me, nothing like the American crap we get here.
It rained so hard earlier that our patio flooded and just as it did a Sparkling Violetear Hummingbird whizzed onto our cyclamen plant and over the neighbour’s roof.
In the middle of the rainstorm I had to get a plunger out to try and clear the water.
I was half expecting the suction to summon up Abad's mate Victor from the murky depths but I think it was just a blockage of leaves.
It is true that water goes down the plughole the opposite way south of the equator and it was easy to see this phenomenon in action given the quantity of the stuff around.
As regards Celebrity Big Brother, normally the internet distorts the coverage of events like this a bit, having seen the first programme it is every bit as repulsive as I had read.
Not that it will put me off watching the rest.
