In the end all of the quotes we got from other sources were so bad that Jesus' optimistic price for the trip to Urubamba didn't seem so bad after all.
He's collecting us from the apartment at 9am, after we have had a breakfast at Moni and said our farewells.
Miriam is going to be looking after the apartment for us.
Salavdor has been trying to comb his hair today and when he fell over put the 'Little Miss Helpful' bump thing on his head himself (in the wrong place, but on his head nonetheless).
There is internet access in Urubamba but I'm not sure what where going to be up to so I might not be updating until Thursday. Urubamba is about 70km from Cusco and has a population of about 17000, this is where we are staying. It is also home to the best and biggest corn in the world so we should at least have something to eat, once again we have been promised a plethora of vegetarian options and delicious grub for Salvador. Urubamba is about 600 metres lower than Cusco so that will make a difference too. Lourdes Flores, the presidential favourite, arrived in Cusco today, so a big banner and placard waving rally in the Plaza de Armas is inevitable. I briefly felt glad that we will be away from the electoral chaos for a couple of days until I saw Urubamba on her itinerary.
