Lima hosepipe ban proves ineffective

This morning we went to ‘Polvos Azules’ a huge black market in the centre of Lima.
I was in search of the strangest England shirt I could find.
Normally it’s easy enough to find an Inglaterra shirt with the badge upside down or the name spelt wrong, this time however I discovered that the quality has altered somewhat.
We found England World Cup shirts of unbelievably authentic quality, one stamped Lampard and the other Owen, far too good for me.
A nearby stall was selling going out shirts with a swastika on, although I’m not sure it was the German one, the icon having been used over here for years before the Nazi’s got hold of it.
Maybe because it’s World Cup year they’ve got hold of the wrong end of the stick here again.
We then moved on to the Indian Market in Miraflores to buy some plastic fruit for the café.
It’s been so hot today that we haven’t felt like doing anything much although we have just ventured out to get Salvador’s hair cut.
As I am writing this Salvador is eating his tea and dancing in his chair to the sounds of a ‘Dora the Explorer’ book, I think his natural Latin rhythm has started to develop, either that or his nappy is full.
