A sad day for football today as Thames Valley Royals were promoted to the Premiership. Of course they will never have the top flight pedigree of Swindon Town as we have been promoted to both the old First Division and the rapidly degrading Premiership (Wigan, Reading, what next Ox..... can't even bear to write it). Of course there was no way that Thames Valley Royals could fail when a wizard stepped in to build their new stadium and curse all of their opponents.
We took Salvador to see Doctor Gloria this afternoon, his cold is better but he has lost some weight so we have to get some tests done on his bodily ejections in a sidestreet on Monday.
He kept himself very well entertained as we waited, blowing away on a trumpet and putting a jigsaw of 'the family' together.
I mistook a large cuddly toy for a hippopotamus in a red hoodie, it was actually Snoopy, I couldn't see his ears you see, Esther rapidly humiliated me in front of the waiting room full of Peruvians and their Charlie Brown loving babies.
When we got back I went to the Post Office and luckily the package with Esther's Mothers Day present had arrived.
I was beginning to worry about it as it was quite a desirable thing to nick.
I got home and sat Salvador down in his plastic smock to write her card.
He rejected felt tips and insisted on using his paints.
Being a baby named after an unconventional painter does have it's messy side as he proved by enjoying the depth of his paint pots and the thick slimy gooeyness a bit too much.
After we had finished I had to quickly hide the card and then call Esther in to clean him up, I had enough to do cleaning his room, table and chair which were all glistening under a thick layer of lurid paint.
At spot on midnight UK time, Salvador gave Mummy her presents, she seemed shocked and delighted, particularly as they arrived wrapped in a nappy.
The oxygen level in our bedroom has halved though, being replaced by the vapour of Paul Smith perfume.
At least if we peg out due to lack of air overnight, we will smell nice in the morning.
I hope that everyone in England enjoyed their extra hour in bed.
