Sometimes the anticipation of something that you don't want to do is worse than the actual event itself. It would have been easy for us to get into a state about our visit to immigration given our terrible experiences there before. We have just arrived back in Santa Anita and I can safely say that no amount of anticipation, dread and panic would have been sufficient for the awful day that we have just had. Five hours in the hottest building in Lima, four hours fifty eight minutes of which were spent queuing with the assembled cast of 'Planet of the Apes 2' as we had a complete nightmare with Esther's passport renewal.
