After 30% of the votes have been counted the official results are ;
Humala 27.59%
Flores 26.72%
Garcia 25.70%
However there are still loads of votes to be considered from the more remote areas of Peru, the heartland of Humala.
The 30% that they are releasing results for is completely unrepresentative, given that it includes 21% of votes cast in Lima and only 9% for Huancavelica, the poorest region of Peru.
Looks like we could have long night on our hands, but nothing like the sweaty palmed wait we will have for the second round of voting.
