Ali's son Mikhail and daughter Chaska have arrived in Cusco to vote after their 24 hour bus journey from Lima.
They brought with them a package for us from Esther's Mum containing some cake for Esther that should keep her going for while.
During my continued archaeology today I was looking through a box and found a familiar looking business card with the logo for the Indian Restaurant we went to last week, I wondered why Esther had tucked it away in a load of papers from five years ago.
Then I noticed the address, Miraflores, Lima.
So when we were sat in the new place in Cusco moaning about how awful the only other Indian restaurant in Peru we knew was, we were actually talking to the owner of both.
Thinking about it now, the interminable wait for the lukewarm food and the cavernous premises were both exactly the same.
We have been invited to 'enjoy' another evening there next week and might still go out of pure morbid curiosity.
