Cusco is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Cusco receives income from around 1 million tourists a year.
Cusco is one of the richest cities in Peru.
40 buildings in the historic centre of the city are in grave danger of collapse.
Doesn't quite add up does it?
Two weeks ago a building collapsed at the end of San Agustin, the road is still closed, causing traffic chaos in the city.
Cusco is corrupt, disorganised and ever keen to have sole influence over it's affairs.
With a record of neglect and misuse of funds like this Cusco's potential never seems likely to be fulfilled which is a tragedy for such a gorgeous city.
