Looking more orange than Victoria Beckham with Ramon & Manuel in Moni

The night I got back from the jungle I had a meal in Moni with Ramon, Manuel & Rebecca, the three Spanish members of the Atalaya group.

We got on really well, remembering the more peculiar and disgusting moments of our trip.
Ramon in particular has a sense of humour that is very similar to mine, which was quite scary at times.
We all watched the video of the football match in the rainforest at home with Esther, my superb angled shot which flew past Ramon and into the trees looked even more marvellous.
They have now moved on to the rest of their brief tour through Peru but have invited us to visit them in Spain when we can.
My aching muscles have been the main problem since I have been back, along with the hundreds of very itchy mosquito bites that are keeping me awake at night.
The only effective solution I have found so far has been Salvador's nappy rash cream which works a treat.
We had a very lucky escape last night, Ali came round to give me the paperwork from the cafe because she is off for a couple of weeks.
I turned the light on in the front room and the light fitting exploded, showering sparks and red hot glass everywhere.
The debris burnt through the carpet to the floor and a playmat of Salvador's briefly caught light.
The carpet is ruined and we've had a shock but it could have been much much worse.
Abad came round today to fix the installation and check some of the other electrics out, which was good of him to do on a Sunday.
