Magda came round and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, a sooper dooper deal to the jungle.
At less than half price I still grappled with having to leave Esther and Salvador here for six days without any contact but Esther really wants me to go too.
The nearer it gets the more difficult it will be, the rainforest is without compare as an experience, it's just a shame we can't go together.
So I leave on the morning of 22nd April taking the zig-zag road down the mountains through the cloud forest to the Amazon Basin. From there we take the boat to a native community, then try to find Giant Otters on an Oxbow Lake before finally visiting the Macaw clay lick.
I fly back from Boca Manu on 28th April.

Chaska has gone back to Lima but not without her bus crashing inside the terminal in Cusco, the police were called as some passengers suspected the driver was drunk.
Not what you want at the start of a 24 hour journey.
She sensibly decided to go with another company two hours later.
