So now we know .... nothing.
With 50% of the votes counted it seems that Humala is through to the next round with Garcia & Flores drawing for second and third place.
The electoral organisation is saying that the full results will be through in 20 days!
With this in mind the second round is likely to be on 28th May or 4th June.
So we have another few weeks of chaos but this time with prices soaring and the currency falling against the dollar.
The nightmare scenario of a second round between Humala and Garcia still exists but we live in hope that Flores will still make it.
I must get that sack of sugar today.
