We took off early for the airport this morning to collect the package Esther's Mum sent yesterday from Lima.
After the usual 15 minute search for the parcel, my sandals and swimming shorts were located and now I can acquaint myself with the willy fish in the jungle.
Salvador was able to watch a plane taking off, which he loved.
When we got back to the cafe we discovered that Ali hadn't arrived yet, her son Mikhail got bitten by a dog yesterday and a hospital trip was needed.
It's highly unlikely that the dog would have had a rabies jab so getting bit by it is not a great development.
Esther was straight on the phone to the dogcatcher, it doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened if the aggressive canine had sunk it's teeth into the 18 month old son rather than the 18 year old.
Ali wasn't too keen on the idea of the dogcatcher when she got back, saying that the dog had blue eyes, doubtless some sort of local legend permits the biting of people by blue eyed dogs.
