The big news from Cusco is that workmen are digging another hole in San Agustin.
Actually this one is more like a trench as it appears to be for the sewage pipe of the new hotel at the bottom of the road.
If I get some sandbags to go with the trench we will be ready for the aftermath of the elections next week.
We are having the metal front door of the café worked on today, as part of our traditional security sweep when someone leaves.
The first door welder man who turned up soon went away to get his gear.
The second door welder man (brother of the first door welder man) turned up half an hour later.
The second door welder man removed the front door and said that he would take it to his workshop.
The second door welder man hailed a taxi in front of the café.
In the taxi he hailed was the first door welder man with all of his welding gear.
They and the door then left for their workshop with the second door welder man calling his brother a ‘f**king idiot’ and the first door welder man telling him to ‘talk to him nicely’.
I hope that our door is not bloodstained when/if it comes back.
