Ollanta Humala's public image took a thump yesterday when it was revealed that the USA revoked his visa in January 2005.
Now he can't do his world statesman bit and knows how most average Peruvians feel when the have their application turned down.
The USA acted due to his involvement in a 2000 uprising which resulted in the death of ten policemen.
According to his wife Perma-grin Nadine this is the USA interfering in the electoral process and favouring Alan Garcia, not a bad bit of interference considering this happened 16 months ago.
The Post Office is on strike for two days meaning that I am unable to access the sackloads of chocolate and DVD's waiting for us there, I will have to make do with Peruvian biscuits again.
