The group of pensioners trickled back in throughout the day, all looking much better than they did yesterday.
Best 'conversation' of the day went -
'I'm from Texas'
'I'm from Swindon'
Blank looks all round.
It's Mothers Day here on Sunday and it certainly is different here than in England.
All day people have been wandering past Moni with huge boxes of scented plastic flowers and delivery lorries laden with cookers, microwaves and washing machines have been whizzing up San Agustin.
In Peru it's traditional to give Mummy something useful for her daily life hence the White Goods.
I think I know a few Mummies in England who would stick the gift where only a trailing plug would show were they to be rewarded on their special day with an iron or liquidiser.

I am jealous of those whose mothers are still very much around, alive and well.
I can only indulge in the sweet memories of my beloved mother Mrs. Gladys Eke, since she passed away in a tragic auto-accident on May 26, 1993. And I miss her everyday. My mother was God sent to me.
God bless.
