With Ali on holiday, I was at the cafe early this morning to see what Labour Day would bring us.
What better start to a Monday morning than a broken toilet flush?
With the holiday here, very little is open and Valerio struggled to get the part to fix it but eventually found a hardware store open.
Peru too is caught between two stools at the moment.
There is now just 0.5% of the vote to be counted in the election, so Humala and Garcia are through to the next round which is likely to be on May 28th.
The President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez has been poking his nose in and making such ludicrous statements that Peru has withdrawn it's ambassador from Caracas.
This election battle has all the ingredients for a dirty, violent encounter.
There's not much choice between Garcia and Humala, but the least worst has to be Garcia, although I never thought I would say that.
