We had a successful day at the opticians and immigration today.
It helps to know people at both locations.
At the opticians, Esther's old boss gave me a discount and gave Esther the opportunity to gaze into the innermost workings of my eyes.
At immigration the $50 fine I had been threatened with in Cusco for not renewing my residence in time (crisis with Valerio threw this and many other things out of the window) evaporated as my papers were rushed through by a 'friend'.
