Salvador watches in awe as Fermin makes a bed
I got my new glasses today - no problem.
What I didn't know was that my new contact lenses are soft, after 25 years of using gas-permeable lenses this has come as a bit of a shock.
The opticians have given me a pair to be going on with as mine won't be in stock until the middle of July (they will send them to Cusco).
Esther and I went to Wong straight after and my right lens started playing up which meant we had to go back to the opticians again.
Arguing all down the road and barely able to see the traffic coming I don't know how I made it there.
After some lessons on the handling of soft lenses I can see a bit better.
We had a trip around some interesting sights in Lima this afternoon looking for a foam mattress which we eventually got in Avenida Iquitos, not really a place you would want to spend a lot of time in.
Dan's flight was due into Lima at 1am but Air Canada's flight information now says it will get here at 02.44am, looks like we are in for a long night at Jorge Chavez eating donuts.
Earlier today we found a stall in the market in Santa Anita selling fruit from the jungle, I can't remember the name of the most delicious thing we bought (I will ask Esther) but it tasted like a mixture between a pear and a banana, it was possibly a panana or a bear.
We also got some red banana's from the rainforest for Dan to try, they are a really odd sight.
