Saul yesterday - get well soon
It's not been the best 24 hours at Cabracancha Towers.
Last night at about 9pm Ali rang to say that she was at the hospital with her son Saul.
He has suffered convulsions in the past but his latest attack had left him unconscious.
I dived out of bed and with Dan as bodyguard headed to the social security hospital to find Ali.
By the time we go there Saul had come round and had received some treatment.
We made sure that things had stabilised and then I arranged to speak to Ali this morning.
We came home and went back to bed worrying about the little boy who is only a month older than Salvador.
So with re-organising the cafe to cover for Ali's absence on my mind I went off to sleep.
With Jesus due to pick us up at 8.30am to take us to the airport we got up early and finished off the packing.
Unfortunately Dan's cold was still very much in evidence and we made an unsuccessful dash to the doctors to get a diagnosis in between trying to find out how Saul was and organise the cafe.
In the end the two problems together became insurmountable and after some arguing and panicking we cancelled our flights and the trip to Trujillo.
Thankfully Saul is much better and is at home and Dan has seen the doctor and got some medicine.
We have given Ali a month off so that she can care for Saul and sort a few things out.
For part of this month she will live in our apartment so that she is closer to all things medical in Cusco.
The rest of the day has been spent trying to re-organise our flights to Lima, which at this time of year is far from easy.
At the moment we're still not sure when we will be going to Lima but will find out tommorrow.
In the morning Ali has a doctors appointment for herself, Esther is going to go along to help her. Simone's boyfriend Jaime is going to start in the cafe to help us out during the time that Ali is out of action.
