Sunday Lunch

Unfortunately, Dan woke up with flu-like symptoms so was unable to join us on our trip to Tipon.

Ali, Miriam, Esther, Salvador, Luis, Fiorella, Saul and I got a taxi after being unable to locate a bus going south of Cusco.

Ali and Miriam duly ate their respective Guinea Pig after Fiorella had counted the unfortunate rodents teeth. I think the pictures tell the story of our excellent lunch which was topped off with some kite flying on a nearby football pitch.

I have never thought of this activity as being particularly dangerous but being surrounded by rampaging Peruvians pulling kites secured by fishing line has changed my mind.

Being garotted by a small child in national dress with a Spiderman kite is not how I want to go thanks.

While we were in the taxi on the way back to Cusco, Jane called and arranged for Patrick & Jack to visit.

Jack joined Salvador in the bath and when our son got out, engaged me in a water fight which eventually resulted in a water-filled rubber ball making a direct hit on my wound.

Tomorrow we head to Lima on the 10.55am StarPeru flight.
