After our visit to Chan Chan and Huanchaco yesterday, we went to the Huaca de Luna today.
These pyramids are one of the most impressive things I have seen during my time in Peru and with more excavations since our last visit, were even better this time.
Salvador excelled himself by recognising that the eyes of the God shown in the murals inside the pyramid had the eyes of an owl and then proceeded to imitate the teeth of the decapitating idol.
Tomorrow we are going three hours up the coast to Chiclayo to visit the tomb of Senor de Sipan whose discovery in 1987 was the most important archaeological find in South America.
