In this country that 'loves children' so much it's always interesting to experience this warmth first hand.
When we went to visit the house of a potential cake maker for the social event of the century all was going well until Salvador started exploring (exploring, not touching) with me in pursuit.
'Can you make sure the child is careful as I don't want to have to clean up after him' came the snooty request.
I was out of the door before you could say 'snobby old bitch' and Esther followed soon after.
Lesson one for a cake maker, if you don't like children don't set up a business making cakes for them because one day you might (ugh!) come into contact with one of the vile ankle biters.
We moved onto to a cake shop next and after looking at their decoration went for a cup of coffee nearby.
Luckily I was selecting my ice cream at the counter when an old woman (another snob) said to Esther 'could you entertain the child with something else, I have a headache'.
Salvador was talking, talking loudly, but just talking, vile old cow.
The famous Latin love for children lives on.
