Mum and Dad with Salvador yesterday in Lima
I was woken up this morning by Salvador rattling the mirror in the room that Mum and Dad have been using, then he started shaking the bed, then I realised it was an earth tremor and not Salvador at all.
A couple of minutes later the apartment block was still moving slightly.
According to the news the tremor registered 6.4 on the Richter scale and was centred on Pisco south of Lima.
A church roof collapsed elsewhere in Lima and a load of rocks fell onto the Costa Verde a few blocks away from the apartment.
Other than that there appears to have been minimal disruption.
We are just glad that Mum and Dad didn´t get the same alarm call this morning.
We had a great time with them here and were sad to see them go back last night.
We go back to Cusco in the morning with Aunty Maria travelling with us to help with Salvador.
