After a stressful, confusing week in Devizes I am now a qualified First Aider.
That's right, me, a qualified First Aider, I'm not really sure how long a pause to leave after that statement.
Punctuated by the lecturer's tales of gore on motorways near Reading and snogging a plastic dummy with two heads and no legs, the course was actually quite interesting but hard to get to grips with, having zero experience of the subject.
I did see a dog that looked just like 'the Rock' in Wroughton today though.
Holidays are coming up so we have been busy trying to think of indoor activities in Devon because the awful weather shows no sign of getting any better.
Mind you the weather is nothing considering what it going on in Peru.
Teachers are on strike and engaging in violent riots.
Ali and Miriam both got bashed over the head with a stick outside Moni last week by one of Cusco's frontline educators.
Pah, wood ........ for me the other day, it was a glinting butcher's knife from a masked assailant who hadn't been to school in his life.
In spite of my brush with a powder blue masked armed robber, the moral decay that is forcing its way to the surface in Peru is exactly why we are in England.
Sad but true.

Lima was particularly good fun.
