If it is possible to trudge in a car, I was trudging to work today overburdened by a self inflicted information overload from my pending course.
My low ebb was ebbing lower as I left the bank after a brief stopover and took stock in the Asda car park.
I decided to raise my mood with a visit to the bookshop to search for a book I had seen recommended on the OU website.
In the doorway of Borders, two chaps in suits were talking and I dodged around them searching for my tome.
They finished their conversation and one of them started chatting to me.
Author Paul Henke was doing a book signing at the store and soon had my interest rising with his potted autobiography and details of how he started writing.
His enthusiasm infected me and his words of advice made sense.
Whether it was coincidence, syncronicity or just a good selling job, doesn't matter to me now that my enthusiasm has been rekindled.
