Things have been up and down since I used up half of the local NHS budget at the start of September.
It was certainly odd having a wire trailed round me depositing little shards of platinum somewhere south of my kidneys.
It hurt a lot more than I had imagined afterwards too.
We are getting ourselves organised again, or more likely descending into the level of disorganisation that we are comfortable with.
Salvador has started pre-school and is already confusing us with words, phrases and actions he can only have picked up there.
I wonder if any of his playmates are swearing in Spanish yet?
I am on the move at work too, so there is even more training, learning and confusion for me.
Esther has started an English course again and seems to be getting on well, in spite of it seeming that she may be in the wrong class.
Where others are stuttering and clamming, Esther understands all that she is able to hear.
We saw 'Atonement' this week, the Dunkirk scene justified the decision to go, an awesome piece of cinema I didn't want to end.
The only drawback of the whole film was the tissue paper thin Keira Knightley who flapped glass eyed on the breeze for a couple of hours like she always does.
