More fun with taxis today - a trip out shopping resulting in us getting back out of a taxi after I heard the taxi driver insult Esther.
Finally managed to get hold of the book 'The Birds of Peru' today - an early Christmas present.
Not sure what to do with it though. 1800+ different species - don't know whether to concentrate on finding the 300 gaudy, interesting ones or the 1500 anonymous brown ones.
Think I'll go with the Parrots, Macaws etc rather than the Peruvian Sparrows.
The book has some great names in it.
In England a Willow Warbler warbles in Willows, in Peru the birds have such deliciously exotic names I wonder what they get up to - my favourite so far : the Helmeted Pygmy Tyrant, maybe it has something to do with the picture of Salvador yesterday.
Esther's Aunt Carola and Uncle Coco visited tonight and we engaged in a long game of conversational table tennis on the subject of child care, some things are the same the world over.
