Pew, Pew , Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble & Salvador

We spent today at Esther's Auntie Maria's in San Martin De Porres.
For security reasons we took pre-booked taxi's.
For reasons best known to themselves the taxi drivers decided to take the most dangerous route possible.
Watching from the following taxi I could almost see Esther's face turning purple with rage.
Mum & Dad looked on oblivious from our taxi as I sat in the front waiting for a hand to make a grab through the window - not nice.
Esther rang both the taxi company and citizens advice when we got there but got a typical brick wall from both of them.
Apparently we should have told the driver which route we wanted to take - how does that work if you don't know where you're going?
Customer Service has a long way to go in Peru particularly as it seems to spend much of it's time going backwards.
Salvador loved his time at Auntie Maria's (who lives in Esther's Grandmothers old house). He even tried his first pudding of Mazamorra Morada (made from purple corn) and seemed to love it.
It's a bit like purple wallpaper paste with pineapple and prunes in , so perfect for him.
It is also similar to the colour Esther's face was in the taxi.

Todays picture shows Salvador in his Great Grandfather's Fireman's Helmet.
