Esther in the cafe this lunchtime

The motivation for our return to Cusco was a nasty smell drifting across the Atlantic from our landlady.

Yesterday we had a discussion with her that totally justified our decision to come here.
First she tried to double our rent for the cafe which sent me into the stratosphere.
Eventually we managed to negotiate a bit less and a three year contract, which at least gives us some breathing space to decide what we need to do.
Just goes to show that someone that you are paying money to who claims to be your friend rarely is.
It also calls into question Esther's policy of always seeing the best in people although my policy of always seeing the worst is not much better.

First thing this morning I decided to enjoy the luxury of a bath.
Bing-bong, Telefonica returned two minutes into my soak to complete the internet connection. At least they came back. So now I am sat tapping this amid grey skies and green mountains listening to Radio 4.
In fact if I didn't love Esther so much I would never have to leave our patio and my office.
I have a shower and toilet below me, my computer and music up here and could have my food handed out to me through the kitchen window (that last idea didn't go down too well).
