The riot act spawned a mini-riot today as we acted to quell a developing civil war in the cafe. Harmony is the word of the day. Bollocking is another. Shut up and get on with it are several more.
I think things are sorted now. I read an interesting article about coca production in Bolivia this morning, the advent of Evo Morales and his coca-friendly government present the USA with another quandary. Busy as they are creating bases from which they destroy coca it doesn't appear that Morales will have much truck with this policy. Equally enlightening was the comment from a coca grower that what they really can't understand is the fact the Coca Cola can import the stuff into North America - Coca Cola deny this of course. As usual and as is the case in Palestine, democracy is only any good if the population vote for an US approved candidate. The electoral to-ing and fro-ing continues here with an approved candidate looking more likey to be elected. The mud slinging has really started now and we still await the result of the extradition proceedings against Fujimori in Chile.
I think I might risk a game of football this afternoon, just to confirm my retirement. Esther has gone to the market with Jane and I'm looking after Salvador so it depends what time she re-appears.
