My toe is the colour of Peruvian Purple Corn (Toe not pictured- it's a question of taste)

I now have a big toenail on my right foot that is turning a delicious shade of purple. It is also throbbing extremely painfully. All my own fault of course, caused by 5 foot 1 of Peruvian stamping on it this afternoon. Overall today's game was a much less painful experience than last time. Another goal with my head, in the kingdom of the short, the one foot taller man is king. The best moment though was a fly over Andean Flicker which was considerably more rewarding than the Andean F*cker who crushed my toe. All of the excitement came when the game finished as we attempted to walk back down into Cusco. As we started out a storm started and deluged us with just about the worse torrential rain I can remember in Cusco. It's about 750ft straight down winding narrow streets to get there and cobbles are not ideal underfoot in this type of climate, it's like walking on thousands of bars of soap.By the time we got home my shoes were more like buckets and we were having to walk down the middle of the roads because the water was so deep at the sides. Thank God we have got a bath, whilst Valerio had a shower outside I plunged into the tub to admire my war wound. We were both completely drenched and delighted to get out of the vile weather. Next week I'm hoping that Gary will play too. Tonight we are going to get a pizza delivered which will make a change. To go with the pizza a film of course, I now store them all upstairs in my office because Salvador has started eating the DVD's. So out I stepped in the dark and in my fluffy Llama slippers and straight into a four inch deep flood on the patio. As if I haven't felt enough unwanted water today. Cue Esther, her brush and her funky wellies to get rid of it all, of course due to my injury and wet shoes I was unable to help.
