I'm back in bed after my cold got worse again. Spent the morning at the doctors and the chemist and now have quite an array of pills and syringes for my bronchitis and infection. I will never get used to having antibiotics injected up the bum rather than rattling away from the surgery with a pot of pills. When Esther asked 'Where is the injection put?' I expected the answer to be backside or arm, not 'on the third floor'. I have about a week of treatment and feel absolutely bloody awful, illness is always worse up here and always takes longer to go away. Even the 1966 World Cup film on cable hasn't cheered me up although the look on Uwe Seeler's face as he climbed the steps of the Royal Box at the end nearly did.
