The road outside Cusco airport this afternoon

Things have got far more sinister and serious here in the past couple of hours.
Alan Garcia and his entourage have been shot at by supporters of Ollanta Humala on the road to the airport in Cusco.
It seems that Garcia's security men responded with a few bullets of their own.
Details are fairly sketchy so far but it appears five people have been injured, three with bullet wounds.
Garcia himself has continued on to Lima.
